Space stocks are climbing in premarket trade on Monday, after the private space company Firefly Aerospace successfully landed on the Moon. 

The Cedar Park, Texas-based company said that its uncrewed Blue Ghost lander softly touched down on the lunar surface “i

n an upright, stable configuration.” Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1, dubbed Ghost Riders in the Sky, is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative to deliver science and technology payloads to the moon.
