Oracle Corp.’s stock rally on Wednesday could earn it a place in the record books, as no company this big has ever posted this sort of daily gain.
Shares of Oracle
ORCL were rocketing 38% in morning trading Wednesday, and while they’ve seen a couple moves of that magnitude in the past — about three decades ago — the company was much smaller then. Oracle is currently on pace to post the first-ever single-day stock gain of more than 25% for a company worth at least $500 billion, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
