In One Chart: Celebrate National Pumpkin Day with this map of the most-searched pumpkin spice foods in every state

Most states are hungry for pumpkin spice baked goods like breads and cookies; the baked treats came out on top in more than a dozen states. In fact, “pumpkin spice cookies” are the most-Googled pumpkin spice food of all time in the U.S.

One curious trend: “pumpkin spice cheesecake enchiladas” were the most popular pumpkin spice searches in several states, including Utah, Wyoming, Virginia, Indiana and Ohio. In fact, Google reported that searches for “pumpkin spice cheesecake enchiladas” spiked 1,000% across the country over the past week. 

Condiments such as “pumpkin spice syrup” appear to be most popular out west, according to the Google map, while Florida and South Carolina are looking to toast the change seasons down south with “pumpkin spice margaritas.” 

Pumpkin spice lattes, teas, cold brews and creamers also pop up as popular picks across the country. 

But Texas, Alabama and Vermont are looking for something a little different: “pumpkin spice ramen noodles.”

Google’s pumpkin spice trends report released on Thursday also noted that searches for “pumpkin spice latte” peak each September in the U.S. Starbucks reports that it’s sold more than 500 million signature pumpkin spice lattes since it first started serving the popular drink in 2003 and helped spawn a $500 million pumpkin spice industry.

What’s more, Google noted that people are sniffing out pumpkin spice scented products right now, too, with the most popular searches including: face masks, scented candles, toilet paper, essential oils and laundry detergent steeped in that fall fragrance.
