That was NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, talking about the professional basketball league’s negotiations with Warner Bros. Discovery

WBD for its latest media-rights deal.

The NBA agreed to an 11-year, $76 billion broadcast-rights deal with Disney DIS, NBCUniversal CMCSA and Amazon AMZN in July that will begin after the 2024-2025 season. WBD, a current NBA rights holder, was not part of the new agreement; the company owns TNT Sports (formerly Turner Sports), which has been showing NBA games on its TNT cable channel since 1988.
