Dish Network Corp. officially plans to sell its wireless offering on Amazon.com Inc.’s platform, confirming months of speculation.
The telecommunications company announced Wednesday that it would make its Boost Infinite unlimited postpaid wireless plan available for purchase on Amazon’s
AMZN,
site. The plan costs $25 a month, but Prime members will get 20% off that cost, as well as a bill credit covering $25 for the first month of service.

were up 8% in premarket trading Wednesday.
“Amazon is the perfect place to offer this Boost Infinite exclusive deal, making it easy for Prime members to purchase our SIM kit online, with an exclusive 20% discount, and activate their postpaid wireless service without setting foot in a store,” Boost Infinite head Jeremy McCarty said in a release.
Bloomberg News had reported late Tuesday that Dish planned to make the offering available on Amazon this week, while The Wall Street Journal reported on the intended initiative back in May.
As such, Dish’s confirmation ends months of speculation about the next move for the telecommunications player, which burst onto the wireless scene after buying some prepaid brands that had to be sold in order for T-Mobile US Inc.

to appease regulators in its bid to acquire Sprint.
Shares of T-Mobile were off about 1% in premarket trading Wednesday, while shares of AT&T Inc.
T,
were ahead about 1%, though it’s unclear if their trading performance relates at all to Dish’s move. AT&T reported earnings earlier Wednesday’s session, delivering a big beat on free-cash flow.
