Cash App.

“I believe in Bitcoin & the future is bright,” Rodgers said in a tweet Monday. “That’s why I’m teaming up with Cash App to take a portion of my salary in bitcoin today.”

In a Halloween-themed video dressed as a John Wick, he also announced the crypto giveaway: “Bitcoin is a new concept, it can be intimidating. So to make it more accessible to my fans, I’m giving away $1 million worth of bitcoin right now,.”

The giveaway will last through Nov. 8, and winners — who will be selected randomly — will receive up to $100 each in bitcoin.

Rodgers, 37, signed a four-year, $134 million contract with the Packers in 2018.

He’s just the latest pro athlete to jump into the crypto game. In July, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley said he would be accepting all future endorsement dals in bitcoin, and soccer star Lionel Messi said in August that he will receive part of his salary in cryptocurrency. Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady recently traded a fan one bitcoin in exchange for his 600th career touchdown ball, and earlier this year Brady took an equity stake in crypto exchange company FTX.
