: Apple plans Oct. 18 event that could bring MacBook Pro, AirPods launches

Apple Inc. plans to host a virtual event on Oct. 18 that could bring the introduction of new Mac computers. The event carries the “Unleashed” tagline and will kick off at 1 p.m. ET.

The smartphone giant introduced new iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches at a September event but left out announcements about Macs and AirPods, which some expect to come at the October unveil.

is reportedly planning to launch new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops that would feature the company’s custom processor, according to The Verge. The company could also be preparing to jazz up its entry-level AirPods earbuds to give them a shorter stem.

Shares of Apple are off 0.2% in Tuesday trading. They’ve slipped 1.4% over the past three months as the Dow Jones Industrial Average
