Amazon Gives New Prime Cardholders $200, No Strings Attached

The holiday season is right around the corner, and Amazon is delivering gift card bonuses just in time for the giving season.

Starting Nov. 17 through Nov. 30, 2021, Amazon Prime members who apply and are approved for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card will instantly get a $200 Amazon gift card. Unlike many new credit card incentives, there’s no spending requirements to meet. That’s $200 that you can use however you want with the retailer — from getting all your gift shopping done to buying some last-minute turkey day ingredients.

And non-Prime members are in for a bonus as well: New Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card holders who don’t have a Prime membership will receive a $100 Amazon gift card upon card approval.

In addition to the limited-time bonus, holders of the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card can also earn 10% back in rewards on select products from eligible gift guides through the retailer’s Prime Card Bonus offer. Eligible products include toys, electronics, kitchen appliances and more.

Both Chase-issued cards earn rewards at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market:

  • The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card earns 5% back at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market; 2% back at restaurants, gas stations and drugstores and 1% back on all other purchases. The card charges an annual fee of $0 but requires a Prime membership, which costs $119 annually.

  • The Amazon Rewards Visa Signature Card earns 3% back at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market; 2% back at restaurants, gas stations and drugstores and 1% back on all other purchases. The card charges an annual fee of $0.
