: Sunday’s NCAA women’s basketball championship was most-watched ever, ESPN says

Sunday’s NCAA women’s basketball championship, in which LSU won its first title over Caitlin Clark and Iowa, was the most watched women’s March Madness game on record, ESPN announced Monday.

The game drew 9.9 million viewers, ESPN said, citing initial Nielsen ratings, with a peak of 12.6 million. Viewership jumped 103% year over year, according to Disney’s

ESPN, which added that the game was the most-watched college event ever on its streaming platform, ESPN+.
