In a stock market hunting for new leadership, the Russell 2000 Index
RUT has advanced about 5% in the past month, outpacing a 1% gain for the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 NDX, which has been weighed down by weakness among the Big Tech stocks known as the “Magnificent Seven.”
