Here’s what you need to know before joining the Hilton Honors program as well as how many points you’ll need for a free night.

If you’re considering Hilton’s loyalty program, we have some good news for you — you can become a Hilton Honors member for free. By registering with your basic details, you’ll have instant membership. By joining Hilton Honors as a free member, you get perks like a guaranteed Hilton Honors discounted rate, digital check-in and the ability to earn points towards free nights. If you’re planning on staying at a Hilton hotel even just for one night, it’s a great idea to sign up for these benefits before your stay.

Once you’re a Hilton Honors member, you can start earning Hilton Honors points, which can be used for free nights. A great feature of Hilton’s loyalty program is that free nights can start at just 5,000 points per night. We’ve compiled some recent examples below of properties you can book for 15,000 points or less per night:
